Jessy is a co-founder and clinical advisor for Therapy Abroad. Jessy completed her undergraduate degree in music therapy with classical guitar as her primary instrument and began her career as a music therapist working for hospice for 5 years. After taking a career break to travel in Southeast Asia and South America, she decided to return to school and pursue a master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders. Jessy worked as a speech-language pathologist for several years before moving to Thailand where she lived and worked for nearly six years. Since returning to the USA, she has worked in a variety of settings including home health, schools, outpatient clinic, state residential hospital, and acute care. Jessy is currently a full-time doctoral student in Neuroscience & Gerontology at Iowa State University.
