Jill Westland, M.S., CCC-SLP

I am a seasoned Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) currently employed in a small school district nestled in Southwest Virginia, and I have proudly dedicated the last nine years to this fulfilling profession. I thrive in the dynamic school setting, relishing the diverse challenges that each day presents. My focus lies in providing support to students in kindergarten through third grade, specializing in addressing articulation and language disorders. Additionally, I collaborate with classrooms focusing on everyday living skills of autistic students and those with multiple disabilities. Having previously worked in an urban setting within a larger district characterized by a diverse student population, my experiences have enriched my ability to adapt to varying educational landscapes. The heart of my passion lies in connecting with students, observing their developmental milestones and navigating the rewarding, albeit occasionally challenging, journey of facilitating their progress. Therapy Abroad has expanded my horizons as well! Outside of work, I cherish time with my family and friends, relishing in outdoor activities and exploring my culinary skills. Traveling and immersing myself in different cultures are among my favorite pastimes, reflecting my enduring curiosity about the world.
